Day 6 - Desert Oasis

Oh Malta, how we love you already. You little oasis in the desert. It's a new day and a new attitude. That scumbag women who left us out in the cold (heat actually, coz it was  23' during the night) can catch the karma bus like the guy who stole the wallet.

Valletta, a glorious city of golden stone. It's cobbled stone streets are lined with magnificent  architecture, rich with history.

Treasured monuments tell the stories of an era gone by, of knights, wars and religion. Every corner, street and scene is a photographers dream.
There's a surprisingly strong resemblance to the Greek island, Crete but loads cleaner and well respected. English is spoken by all making it easy for us and the distinct Arabic/Italian equals the Maltese language, just weird.

The weather is superb and definitely couldn't stand any hotter because the heat off the streets is intense. Could this be the reason for regular stops to cool down with a pint of the local Cisk 🤤

From the distance, the other cities look like the deserts in the sea.
